About Susan
I have been a student of meditation and mindfulness for over 8 years. The practice of mindfulness has enabled my awakening to the power and beauty of the present moment. The universe guided me to my teacher, Suchitra Davenport, whose shared wisdom is a well-spring from which my personal practice flows. My awareness practice has expanded because of the many people, experiences and moments of learning I have had (and will continue to have) on my life’s journey. Each moment is like a dew drop of potential learning. There are so many opportunities for us to grow…if we just open ourselves up to the present moment.
I facilitate mindfulness workshops for small and large groups as well as for individuals who wish to expand their present moment awareness. I have a teacher’s heart and enjoy sharing these practices as my service to anyone who wishes to engage in the world with more authenticity, meaning and presence. About Mind Drops Mindfulness
Mind Drops was conceived while on retreat. After a rain storm, I observed the drops of dew on leaves after a rainfall. I recognized that the expansion of our consciousness and our personal growth often occurs one drop at a time…when that tiny droplet of awareness aids us in glimpsing the greater picture of our connection to all things, each other and our higher selves. Each drop leads us closer to the truth of our souls and our ultimate purpose.
About Us
Our collective work – yours, mine and ours – is to tune into the “drops” of insight (and the sometimes drenching storms), which are calling us to open our hearts to the truth of our souls: that we are the essence of LOVE here on earth. Like you, I am a work in progress. My intention is to share some of the “Mind Drops” I have encountered on my journey so that they may, perhaps serve you on your journey.
My Commitment
My Commitment: I will be transparent and authentic with each person who engages with my website or in my sessions. I will share that this is not about “being better” or being happy at all times; instead, this journey is about “being with” whatever is happening or being experienced.
I will encourage each person to cultivate a daily mindful meditation practice which will foster:
- Greater awareness in each daily moment to make choices in alignment with values
- Honest and open engagement with thoughts, feelings and conditioned behavior patterns
- Open-hearted acceptance and non-judgement of your daily experiences
- The process of “inner alchemy” to transform one’s experiences moment by moment
